I finally have had to start using ZB2B again & all seemed OK with 1.0.16 but the first show recorded had major timeline issues (I know you have lost the code for ZB2B) but can you remember if the recordings should re-time automatically or do I need to setup something in my postprocess bat to do this??

To be honest, it's been a long time since I looked under the hood. I've always planned on recreating the program and undoubtedly (as with ZProcess) make it better...

I believe that I zonked the files and then merged the pre and post files without retiming, as the zonks were clean enough for my use.

I think that when I do look into it again, I'll make it an option, and be sure it's fine.

You may have noticed that I'm flying to Australia soon. I don't have my computers up, and can't even test my programs right now.

I'm sorry if that doesn't work for you

Yes I noted you were heading down our way Smile Could you suggest the best method to retime the files, I tried retime & the audio was WAY out or sink & I don't know the syntax for mencoder?

Actually if ReTime didn't work then Mencoder will not likely work either.

ZB2B makes backups. Does the original work OK?

Hi,

Quick questions: Does ZbackToBack work with dvr-ms files aswell? Can you just select mpg and not dvr-ms? I say this as my mpg files (pvr-150) have no timing issues, but sometimes the dvr-ms ones do (as these are the digital recordings mpeg steams)

The cutter I use with ZBack2Back only does mpgs. When I rewrite it, I will be offering support for using VideoRedo to cut (I hope I can at least) and then also VideoRedo to retime. I think VideoRedo can do the dvr-ms files alright.

Quick update, the sync & timeline issue seems to be something to do with my Avermedia M150 card even with ZB2B not running.
I have since found if I record a single program on it's own all is fine but I will have timeline issues with the first recording if I have it setup to record 2 programs back to back. I initially thought it was one of my pvr500s (as you would with the known Hauppauge timeline problems) but then realized it only happened on the UHF channels & they are only selected for my M150. What is even a bigger pain is retime doesn't fix the timeline for these files :confused:

If you have multiple tuners, you may wish to change a setting in GB-PVRs config.xml that will have GB-PVR choose different tuners for back to back recordings... (I'm not familiar with that setting off hand - something like 'Prefer alternate tuners...)

That is actually my preferred way to deal with back to back recordings.... ZBack2Back was originally written when that option is not available. I haven't needed it to work for me for a while, as I have had very few back2back recordings.
