Is this coming from a single EPG XML file, or is it possible that you have two different EPG's giving conflicting data for the same channel?

No. It's the same EPG.

I worked with zehd (during testing of UltraXMLTVEnhancer) for a while trying to find out why it was happening but we eventually gave up. Now, it's just something I live with.

Is it in the raw EPG or is it an artifact created by UltraXMLTVEnhancer? Either way, if it's consistent, you could probably process it out with SED (if it bothers you enough).

It's in the raw EPG and is not so consistent that it is something I would take a chance on blindly editing out.
