Next update! hehe.

Well I got everything working and it works well even over a 54mbs wireless g. Server wireless, laptop wireless.

The only lump in the pudding is the firewall on the server. If I turn it off - live tv works great! Turn it back on and now live tv. All the folders are set up and shared properly, I'm sure it's just the firewall (although I could be wrong....it's happened before lol). Can't for the life of me figure out how to change the firewall to allow it. PvrX2.exe is in the exception list but still nothing....

Anyone got any ideas about that?

Ok everything works now. But still won't work if I enable Windows Firewall on the server. Can anyone tell me what ports I need to open for the live tv service to work?

i just add pvrx2.exe in firewall as having rights to use any port...then it'll work fine...
[click 'add program' not ports]
there are several ports that need opening so this is easiest way...Smile

You are absolutly correct. I just logged on to relate that little tidbit. Once I added recordingservice.exe to the exception list in Windows Firewall everything became good.

It's all working now! No issues.

I suppose the next step will be to add a second tuner card to the server so that 2 clients can watch, or tv can be watched while a recording is in progress.

I should say that everyone should be very proud of the gbpvr creation. It's a great program that works well in every aspect. The openness of development makes it fun to watch it grow. All the plugin developers do great too!

Well nothing left to do but go and enjoy some tv!

Thanks for all the help!
