OK, I created the setting and set it to 5000 and it works! Tried it three times and the client comes up with no .net error. I'll try reducing it a bit and find the best setting. Thanks.

3000 seems to be the sweet spot.

I wonder what other potential pitfalls there are with using SSD drives for both GB-PVR clients and servers. I did notice for example that disabling the Windows Prefetcher as suggested at http://www.aaronhall.net/how-to-improve-...mance.html to improve SSD performance on XP and Vista systems (those without Trim capability) causes the GB-PVR client to take up to 15 seconds to display things like the TV Guide and Recordings screen every time.
