ok changed everything back to FFDshow codecs and they appear to be working now!! Both channels!!!

ok, so next thing I would like to get working is the Freeview card. Whats the best way to approach this?

Basically I have a standard sky box, I bought a TM600 sat box so I could feed the sat feed into MCE, but with ITV HD audio gone I think theres no point in doing that with MCE.

Could I do this with GB-PVR?

I'm pretty sure that others are having success with Win7 64 bit.

With apologies for starting from the beginning ...

The scan cache files are callled something-1, something-2 with each cahe file corresponfing to a tuner. In the cache file for your sat card, delete all entries for BBC and ITV hd and add the entries that Martin posted.

Start Config then Capture Sources tab then sat tuner then Map Digital Channels. The leftmost column is the list of channels from your EPG source. If you have used Birtles you set yhis to list only 2 channels, Else you can untick all the channelks that you don't want. The rightmost column is entries from the scan cache file. You should be able to select BBC and ITV from the drop down lists in the right column.

If you have all this up together ... try to watch or record and then post your logs ...

Thanks guys so I can leave my DVB-S tuner to only show the sat channels I wish and get the XMTL plugin to only download data for those channels?

I can then have somthing-2.cache with all my freeview channels?

GB-PVR is smart enough to set recordings between the cards?

You should have values set for Video Decoder, Audio Decoder and H.264 Decoder at the least.

yeh changed them all to use ffdshow and it's working!

How can I get GB-PVR to scan the Sky channels? I know my card can "see them all" as I have got them in MCE and DVBviewer.

Basically I want to get my legally paid for Sky subscription channels into GB-PVR, I bought a TM600 receiver to decrypt the Sky card, which works. I just need to feed it into the PC.

I want to atleast see the channels listed in GB-PVR before I start adding the TM600 into the loop.

The easiest way to get started with Freeview is to use the DVB EPG.

Add your Freeview card and select DVB Broadcast as your EPG source. Then Map Digital Channels ... it should all click together automagically.

For future use ... GBPVR identifies channels by the name in the EPG. For example ... Use Birtles to create one XMLTV file that includes all the channels that you want ignoring whther they are sat or not ... use this as input ro both tuner cards. In the Map Channels for each card, ubtick channels that the card cant see (Freeview card cant see HD channels). Map the channels that the card can see.

When you watch or record, GBPVR will use a tuner that has that channel ticked and mapped ... if you aint recording a HD channel on the sat card GBPVR can use the sat card to record a "Freeview" channel that is also on satellite.

I'd be out of my depth here as well.
All I do is feed the output of my Sky box into a PVR150 tuner and record that. Along with an IR blaster to make it change channels. My EPG data for the Sky lot is also from birtles/Radio Times.
