Ok, I did as suggested. I also noticed that my time zone was set to 'Central America' instead of American central time zone so my time was slightly askew. Fixed that and still the issue persists. Tonight I had another failed.

Ah, it like you have enabled channels enabled in your capture source that dont have mappings. I'd check you capture source channel list. It looks like its not mapped on your 'Silicondust HDHomeRun Tuner 1017ADBF-0' capture source.

Hey! I think you guys are right! Tuner 1 had nothing under the channel tuner request column! Tuner 2 does. That would explain the random successful recording but mostly failures. If I was using tuner 1 for viewing then it would use tuner 2 for recording and it would work. When it defaulted to tuner 1 it didn't have a frequency mapped and couldn't record! I mapped it and we'll see how it goes but I suspect it works now. Sorry for the newbishness but this is my first go at GBPVR and I am grateful for the help.
