A 7" touchscreen remote that I can configure and program exactly the way my wife wants. Big Grin

Of course I would have to write the app and a plugin that would listen for commands but it should be easy enough since I would be writing it to be very GBPVR concentric. I have no interest in writing another full blown remote suite for a PC. It would simply have command buttons and display now playing info. Could also browse the guide on the unit while watching something so you don't interupt the wifes show with the OSD. The possibilities are endless.

I want one too, I've joked about mvpmc for digital picture frames, but on this it would be more fun.

It's a bit more than a picture frame Smile That is why I enquired earlier about any possibilities of a linux port Big Grin
It can certainly play UK HD recordings at it's own resolution without hickups. The built-in software is a bit limiting, but slowly being improved.

I think it was originally intended as a "kitchen" appliance, but was overpriced for what it did and never sold well.
However at 50 UKP it tempted all the techies and geeks out. If they come back in stock and at sale price, I'd even contemplate donating one to you Martin

Martin if one comes up that price buy it and ship it if you can, I will gladly pay you via PayPal. If you paid, I'd feel obliged to write a client, now I just will feel guilty of I don't

I think it may be Wink

After seeing the original post I had a mad plan in my head to get meself one of these (if they come back again at GBP 49.99). But I also knew not really great for me without some greater community input. I was going to offer to be a go-between for 2 or 3 people in foreign lands but now Martin (UK) is vaguely donating 1 of them if they are available Big Grin

Seriously, if they come back at that price and I purchased 2 or 3, I couldn't donate a whole joggler for free but very likely I would carry the cost of shipment 'cross the ocean.

Obviously for the greater GBPVR cause and perhaps ultimately a touch screen GBPVR interface in my Kitchen?

I could fund this even better by selling off one of my unused MVP's, Graham UK, still interested in an MVP?! Smile

Cheers

I would gladly pay for one plus shipping if someone on that side can purchase and ship for me when they come back in stock.

Sadly they seem to have dropped of the sale screen entirely, not even available at their old, very high, price. So it looks like stock has really gone Sad
At the moment they are at quite a premium on fleabay, but I'm hoping they may drop as the "people who must have every gadget" find the novelty wears off.

I'm keeping my eyes open on there as I could use another after finding the addon buttons for live TV streamed from the Beeb.

That stinks. Ah well, hopefully something else will come along soon. I would love to create a 2 way remote for GBPVR that displays metadata for "Now Playing" and the ability to schedule a recording without interupting current playback.

Here's an old thread to bump Big Grin

Given the work that tmrt and Martin have done on a Linux client for NPVR:

http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...t-for-NPVR

Would this now make the Joggler a very viable option as a front end client for NPVR? (albeit on a small screen)

I'm not a Linux boy so don't really understand a lot of this stuff Sad

O2 don't appear to be selling them any more but they are appearing on ebay at more realistic prices now that the initial buzz has settled.

I have seen that people are running ubuntu 10.10 on them
