Maybe I will rephrase my question. Why are you starting the MVP server from an icon?

When I read you clicked on the icon you got the MVP server box. I'd do two things. First check to see that the NPVR Recording Service has the Interact with Desktop feature enabled, and then upload your logs.

Stustunz, if you can't be bothered to upload logs, I certainly can't be bothered to try and help you any further.

Are you running an MVP server with GBPVR on the same PC? If so, that is not possible, so you need to disable it in GBPVR. Also you are going to need to get the web server running on 8866, it might be related.

Your logs don't show NextPVR starting correctly, so either a firewall (I assume you opened NextPVR for TCP and UDP) or the GBPVR service are in the way. 8866 is what mvpmcx2 uses so you won't be able to stream any media. It is very unlikely that it is a "weird" port,

1. Edit config.xml web porta back to 8866 and set MVP Server to 1 (I assume you have confirmed Interact with Desktop)
2. Stop the NPVR and GBPVR Recording services.
3. Kill any NextPVR, NTray and Nrecord processes running in Task Manager (use all users options if it is there in XP)
4. Restart the NPVR Recording Service
5. Copy the logs.
