NPVR: Choice of default action in TV guide

I also prefer it the way it is now for the same reason as matint123..............the amount of times I have entered the Systems screen in GB-PVR & done an involuntary EPG update, which takes ages..............

The order of the buttons (and the default button) is the same as GBPVR has used for years. Its unlikely I'll change it. Usually when I press enter on a show in the TV Guide I'm just wanting to see the details of the show, or to create a recording. I dont often find myself using the 'watch' button, so it wouldnt good choice for a default button in my usage.

Also, it'd only be 'watch' if that show is currently airing - so you'd need to look carefully to see what the button list is before continuing. At least the current default button is the same for every show in the tv guide (regardless of whether its currently airing).

Yeah, I'd settle for the reverse list too as that's how it works in GBPVR and I'm happy enough with the menu there.

NPVR already does allow cursor "up" like this too, both on my PC and my PCH.

I suppose what might be nice is if this behavior was controlled by the skin. Then we could all have it the way we want.

That said, the way it is now is cool too... I'd never have thought to create a wishlist thread about it, but seeing someone else suggest it I felt compelled to toss in my $0.02.

I haven't tried but is it possible to press play when a highlighting a currently airing program (or while the info screen is showing)? Maybe that would be the simple solution.

yes, I know it does in TV Guide, I'm not sure about recordings.
