nPVR - "mini guide" overlay while watching Live TV

DigiTV used to have a nice feature with its "now and next" that would be handy to see implemented in a future nPVR version.

It would show the basic now and next programmes in pretty much the same way (one show above the other), but it also had a way of highlighting them, so you could then press Info and bring up the details for the selection. Pressing OK probably changed to that channel, I can't really remember. nPVR could obviously take it further by bringing up the usual popup for info (that has Record, Find All, etc in addition to just the details).

I'm not actually wish-listing this, just pointing it out for reference. Having the TV guide as an overlay is far more desirable for me.

Its a bit ugly, but with this patch try pressing F1 while watching live tv.

It looks quite good on the NMT too, I'd say best Guide yet (no strobe), and all navigation and channel working work well. The only issue I see is that the EventDetails popup doesn't pop up on the remote OK (Return), the Guide itself has SendIncrementalFrameDataWithAlpha's but not the popup.

I'm out of town and can't try this but based on the screen shots, this is more than good enough for me. It sounded like this was going to take awhile so I'm glad to see you bump this to the top sub. Very nice!

I LOVE this!!! Thanks sub. I like it better than the old mini-guide.

I would like to make one request: Can you add a @isLiveTVOverlay=true (or anything similar)? This way skinners can add a slightly opaque background when it's overlayed. Depending on the video in the background, it's sometimes a little hard to read. No rush on it though, I'm quite pleased just having the guide.
