Deleting a recording leaves behind the folder name and folder.jpg?

For me they must get put there by SearchLite, or by NEWA responding to calls made by SearchLite (that is to say, the only way I know how to get cover art is to go to searchlite, search for the show, select it and hit "Get Cover"; I imagine there are better ways). The only advantage I can see to having the folder.jpg in the recording folder is that then the artwork also shows up when you go in through Videos..

NPVR will fetch the cover and metafile from media\show in the Video Library too, as long as you have a matching folder name.

It seems like only NRecord is involved at that point; sub are you sure you don't have a line of code in there that checks the .\media\shows directory for "showname".jpg and copies it to the recording folder as folder.jpg? If not I have no idea how this file is being created.

I did a quick test and it does look like NextPVR or NRecord is creating folder.jpg

Ah, true. I forgot about that logic that could copy it in. I'll add a setting in the next release to disable it.

But they seems to be growing in number . I hate to say this, but maybe it is time to pause the development and do some documentation...

No, but if you dont put the image files in [DATA]\media\shows, then it wont create folder.jpg files.

I don't understand this. When a recording has an image in \media\shows, folder.jpg gets created in the recording folder, which then does not get deleted. Can the creation of folder.jpg be disabled so that the image in \media\shows is used?
