I have the H.264 decoder place disabled. I have now installed DivX H.264 decoder to try, but no picture. Also installed AC3 decoder. I read in an other thread, that it semes to be a big problem to find out what kind of decoder you should use, depending on what OS, and graphiccard (NVidia or ATI) you use. My system runs on Win XP and use a ATI Radeon HD HIS 4550 Silence. Meny users use: Cyberlink H.264/AVC decoder, ArcSoft H.264 decoder...etc... Can you recommend a combination of Video and Audio decoders I can use and where I can find them i.e. downloads, instead of inventing the wheel again for my self?
The DivX H.264 decoder definitely wont work. Unfortunately H.264 decoders arent very interchangeable, with each decoder doing things slightly different ways, so you pretty much need to go for the ArcSoft or Cyberlink H.264 decoders. I dont know where you can download them. The ArcSoft H.264 decoders are installed with the Hauppauge WinTV HD CD of you're using a Hauppauge device, and are what I use.
Now I have bought Hauppauge WINTV v7.2 HD CD, including ArcSoft H.264 codec etc... I have also installed it, the drivers and the WinTV 7. The ArcSoft video and audio codec shows up in the codec setup table, but not the ArcSoft H.264 codec? How shall I install it the right way? Anybody help, please?
Do you see the Arcsoft Video Decoder listed in the WinTV7 settings screen? (advanced tab, might need to temporarily tick 'enable 3rd party decoders' to see the decoder options)
Now I have tried to set up the Render & decoder table: Video Render - EVR, Audio Render-Default Direct Sound Device, MPEG2 Video - MPV Decoder Filter, H.264 Video - ArcSoft Video Decoder, MPEG1 Audio - MPA Decoder Filter, AC3 Audio - Hauppauge AC3 Decoder, E-AC3 Audio - Hauppauge E-AC3 Decoder, AAC Audio - MPA Decoder Filter, HE-AAC Audio - ArcSoft Audio Decoder HD. The result of using MPEG2 CAM - All channels also scrambled channels shows up in Live TV. Of using MPEG4 CAM - No Picture or sound on any of the channels. What's wrong?
