My hope is that I've given back, in some small way, to this excellent and genuinely unique project and community. I'll stick around to answer any questions about get up and running with the skin.

You've given much more than in a small way. Slate is beautiful. I'm tweaking it for TV Listings, and feel like I only diminish it. If you ever have a desire to make more images, new translucent programme guide images would be a nice touch. I really liked these.

I would say your artistic talents will be missed, but I know I will be enjoying them for quite some time.

i couldn't get the left-right mouse buttons to work in Recordings screen so i had to edit a bit..[on overlay ver]
had to adjust the selected list selector at top..

Thank you, hairy, for this really hard and very good work. Normally i didn't want to install anything besides nPVR, as long a few things on nPVR weren't fixed (because of bugtracking), but this skin looks so cool that i really need to have it installed on every pc at home. ^^

I just installed Slate on my main HTPC, which drives a 4:3 TV. Since you design for 16:9, I expected the positioning of some elements and field sizing to be off just like it always was with Wave. Yet to my amazement, everything is pretty much in the right place and fits on the screen. Particularly the date/time string on the main menu, and time counters on the playback timelines were always way off with Wave, and now spot-on with Slate. How did you do that?

Just a heads up... I've had a talk to Hairy about using Slate as the new default skin. Thankfully he was happy with this, so expect to see more prominent use of it in the near future.

Its a great looking skin, and I think it'll give a better first impression for users of the app.
