But not completely. Scheduled some recordings, they all started but, while I was out, they didn't stop, kept recording past the end time, and nPVR had crashed.
What, me worry?

Yes, seems exactly the same. I removed all plugins, including TVListings, replaced Unmanaged.dll with the most recent from sub's #7 above. Still crashes when trying to use any of the 150, 500 or 1600 analog tuners.

Just wanted to chime in that I get a NRecord crash whenever a recording starts on my analog pvr2-USB2 tuner (the analog side of my 1600 is broken, so I haven't tried that one.) digital recordings are working fine.

Yeah, its definitely sounding like some issue with hard encoder analog devices. I'm intending to take a look tomorrow.

My HVR 1600 analog is fine, but I use analog cable not component/svideo and I only have one tuner.

Is your CPU usage as low as you'd expect while recording? It might be falling back to using soft encoding, which is what some of these other logs show it doing.

I never noticed but recording looks to be about 6-10%, and I don't have a hi-end machine, and I have never installed SoftPVR

That looks ok - yours is definitely using the hardware encoding successfully.

I doubt it matters, but I thought I'd mention that the QAM tuner in my 1800 has never worked. I noticed roy said that the digital tuner in his 1600 doesn't work. In my case the ATSC part of the 1800 does work, but I don't use it. I do use TV Listings, Weather, System & SubMenu plugins.

I've got weather and system plugins installed too. I'll remove them and see if it makes any difference.
