My HDHR works fine both tuners at the same time, I think your problem is this

Quote:FindFilterByName failed to locate filter: Microsoft Network Provider

I don't have that in my logs.

fleapower:
It looks like you are running version 1.5.33 and need to install DirectX http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/de...laylang=en

@fleapower: you're running 1.5.33. you need to be on the current release, 1.5.36. that may not correct your issue, but any patch sub may post won't work with the older version anyhow.

oh, forgot to mention - I don't think "FindFilterByName failed to locate filter: Microsoft Network Provider" is a real error; I recall sub saying there are two different possible network providers, and that message just shows up when it can't find the first one and goes on to the second one... if neither could be found there'd be a further error and very little would work.

Okay, I just tried recording two shows at once, using one tuner of my HDHomeRun and the digital tuner of my HVR-1600. The same thing happened, where about a minute and a half into it, both recordings just stopped. I have 1:30 of the first one, and 1:26 of the second, likely since it look me 4 seconds between selecting recording the shows. The status in the recordings screen is still "Recording", but it just isn't. And if past experience is any indication, any future recordings will fail with a "Recording service not running" message until I restart the NPVR service.

Just for completeness, attached is the portion of the log file starting with when I tried to record two shows. But again, it doesn't really show anything, as it seems that NPVR doesn't realize that it's no longer writing the TS files.

Thanks.

Create a c:\temp directory, set HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\NPVR\LogTSFlow=2 (DWORD), restart Nrecord.exe, reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the nrecord.log and the c:\temp\mon*.txt files.

It didn't seem to stop recording when I had that set, but my CPU usage was at 100% from NRecord and the system wasn't responsive. The file has so many dropped packets that 10 minutes of recording fly by in a couple seconds. Maybe my system isn't up to the specs needed to do that much logging.

Logs attached, just in case they do say something.

Try again with LogTSFlow=3 instead. This produces less logging so is much easier on your system.

Here we go. Managed to reproduce the problem and get some logs too.

Thank you so much.

Do you know what time you think the recording stopped growing?

In those logs it looks like the devices stopped delivering data at 22:01:49. I can tell if that was because of some unknown reason, or if that is the time you killed the recordings or nrecord.exe.
