We all need a vacation let me tell you Wink

And, no, that was the first thing I checked. Strange that it's not there since I just re-installed this fresh. Did I miss something on re-installation somehow?

Try starting a command prompt (with 'run as administrator' if on Vista/Win7), change to "c:\program files\npvr\", and run "Nrecord.exe INSTALL", then reboot.

Ok, got that bit working, now it's back to the not recording issue. Well, ok maybe I shouldn't say it's not recording, it is creating a .ts file (I assume this is correct (?), as GBPVR always created mpg files...) if I double click on the file, it manually plays it with WinTV 7, but NPVR isn't playing it when I hit "play", it just goes back to the NPVR menu.

One other minor thing (maybe you could call it a feature request?) but in GBPVR I can press play on my remote to start the recording, with NPVR I have to press the "OK" button then go down to play. Is this something that's coming in a future version? Thanks again.

Reproduce this, then zip and attach your npvr.log and I'll take a look.

You can already do this in the Video Library, but the attached patch adds it for the Recordings screen.

Thanks for the update. I can't find an npvr.log anywhere? Did a search on my entire C: drive.

From memory it's something like "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\NPVR\log"

I think the issue is that by default "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\" is a hidden folder, so you have to configure Windows explorer to show hidden files and folders.

Ok here's my log, I just did a recording for a couple of mins and tried to watch it. There's probably something obvious in the logs I'm missing or have misconfigured.
