I do recall ads to have been also related in some way until recently. Now at least they are still targeted at UK based stuff still but mainly all to do with degrees that I would never have an interest in achieving.

The Footer ads have also changed in the last day but is that you Sub? Tweaking?

I added a footer advert about a month ago, but I have no control over what is shown in it, and I certainly havnt tweaked anything that has changed the ads.

The footer ad's appear to be calling a different instance of the header ad's? When you say you have no control over what is shown do you mean in the same way as the header ad's?

I'v not payed attention to those adverts until I saw this thread, but I remember them beeing about computer software and such stuff. Now I get all sorts of "dating with Facebook" (I haven't visited a dating website since I was single Big Grin) and other irrelevant stuff.

For both ads Google decides what to show in the advert space I made available. They can show either text or graphics or both.

I also have never paid attention to them until reading this thread! On the first page I got 3 Dublin based adds, none PVR/video/computer related. But were of potential interest if I happened to want a local buy/sell site. On page two I am getting two completely useless adds, one about carbon credits and making money, which I have no idea what it's on about! I have never had the slightest interest in carbon credits, perhaps I do about making money Smile the 3rd one is local again. If we randomly click on them once in a while do you make more cents??

Just paid attention to the adds on the Digitalspy freesat forum where I get: Dublin Coupons, Free to Air irish telly, BBCi from anywhere in the world. On this forum now I get: free trial GIS (not the slightest clue what this is), Making Money (something to do with carbon credits, again no idea what it is), money for my opinions (some survey crap). Yeah, the stuff on this forum is a lot less relevant and likely to have me click on it than digitalspy!

I did a search on the NPVR Support forum for 'skipping' relating to navigation during playback (i.e., FF/REW F-Skip, R-Skip etc). The attached is what I saw at the top of the search results page. It seems that even an internal forum search has an effect on the ads.

:face-palm:

lol. I've actually been getting some better ads recently. Two of the three ads at the top of the page right now are tv tuners related.
