There is probably enough room to use both, I don't have the exact text in front of me, but:
"To Configure with a keyboard, you can select the display options with the left and right arrow keys, use home and scroll lock to lock."
"To Configure with a remote, you can select the display options with the left and right navigation buttons, use * and # to lock." <- obviously whatever keys don't conflict with something.

Just an MCE. It's one of those half keyboard half MCE far east knockoffs, but with IRremote, I just remapped everything to standard MCE stuff + a few custom items so it works great with NPVR.

We have no way of knowing what remote or mappings users will have so we document for the standard PC keyboard and the Hauppauge 45 key remote. So to lock a view using the remote, use whatever you have defined for
Code:
<Key code="Home" command="Home/Inset"/>
followed by either the left or right navigation buttons.

Hi smajor, I was using an MCE remote, and other remotes to MVP/PCH for testing, the home keyboard equivalent of i (info) worked just the same for me?)
replacing
Quote:"To Configure with a keyboard, you can select the display options with the left and right arrow keys, use home and scroll lock to lock."
OK I'm confused now... sorry if I'm being slow today
The exact text I have in the instructions currently is
"Please use the cursor/arrow left and/or right keys to navigate through the available views "
"You can lock your favorite views by pressing the 'home/info' key followed by the 'left' or 'right' cursor/arrow key (these same keys will un-lock a view)"
the way I wrote it was with the keyboard key first & after the "/" the equivalent remote key ie. KeyboardKey/RemoteButton or is that hard to follow/confusing??

My point was more for the novice users. At first I totally glossed over that you could use a remote to set it up. It could be the long day I've had too.

Understood. As Martin pointed out, it probably won't take long to just get used to using Escape or Enter to exit the screen saver.
