my daily nPVR crash simulation

I can usually make it happen by pressing the pause button during live tv followed by some random combination of up/down/left/right/ok buttons. It can happen on any channel at any point in time during playback. no never during changing of channels.

If I am sat in front of nPVR, I have learnt to *never press the pause button followed by those keys* and I am fine.

but buttons somehow get pressed while I am not watching nPVR at some point during the day to make it happen. think a two year old child getting hold of the remote

Yeah, I'm wondering if it's just changing channels while paused. Does it ever happen if you're not paused? I doubt many people ever change channels while paused, which is probably why we're not seeing other reports of it.

yes I am fairly certain it happens when paused. at least that is the only way I have managed to intentionally create the problem.

Meanwhile I think I'll just unmap the "pause" command in my remote.ini file. I hope that fixes it for now.
