I already gave you two: LAV and MPC-HC. The former is probably easier to set up as it comes with a batch file for doing it.

My personal opinion - remove all the extra codecs you have installed and just install SAF 6 http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post414049 it has just about all the splitters codecs etc that you will ever need and they have been tweaked for NPVR by Hoborg.
If you need the PDVD Video codec PM Hoborg -he will give you an unlock key. That is what I have been using - although some people will disagree with this strategy.
It's not an overly complicated system - it's more - overly simple operatives
The only codec I have installed (after the problem started) was FFDShow.
I installed LAV and rendered a .ts and a .mp4 recording. MONOGRAM GraphStudio files attached. MP4 files now play within NPVR after installing LAV... http://1f0.de/downloads/ I just installed LAV Filters. Thanks imilne!

Here is my NPVR log after playing a .ts and a .mp4 for a few seconds...

Lao Pan Wrote:I used to be really against codec packs, but for the last year or so have been using Hoborg's SAF 6 - with a couple of minor tweeks which works very well with NPVR +1 If people are willing to install a codec pack, then why not install one that is actually npvr "aware" and configures the decoder settings in npvr accordingly. Before SAF, I was always of "the less is more" school of thought and avoided codec packs but Hoberg seems to have pretty much got it nailed with SAF from what I can see.

"SAF6 is based on LAV splitter/audio decoder and FFDshow (DXVA) video decoder" http://1f0.de/lav-splitter/ "LAV Splitter is a multi-format media splitter for DirectShow. It is based on ffmpeg and libbluray and is aimed to offer a all-around solution to perfect playback of file-based Media as well as Blu-rays." http://1f0.de/lav-audio/ "LAV Audio is a multi-format audio decoder for DirectShow. It is based on ffmpeg and its main goal is to offer audio quality without compromise. This means that no shortcuts have been used, no corners cut, everything is setup for the best quality possible." LAV Filters which has all of this seems to work perfectly fine plus it supports my NVIDIA 9600 GT's PureVideo HD. |
