I don't think XBMC plans on scraping recordings, which is why they give the add-on providers a way via the API to provide one.

I see. I archive my recordings into more than one folder one for TV Shows and on for Movies and use the native libraries. That makes more sense to me.

Since there are lot of people here that don't know XBMC but want to learn here is a video showing the difference between the current XBMC PVR view of my recording and the same files under the TV Show View http://youtu.be/VLOheZDJi6k

@Sub,
I have had more time to look into this and it does indeed accept a URL. The only catch is the string needs to be url encoded (I don't know how to do that in c++.) So if you expose the C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Media folder via your built in web server, we could gain access to the channel icons and tv show fan art. I still haven't figured out where the thumbnails for tv shows are stored though, but if stored in the same Media folder it could also be delivered via your internal web server.

I'm happy to have a play around with it, but it'll need to wait a bit. I'm intentionally trying to not make changes to the addon while we're in this few days of Frodo merging.

If you are using IGL you should have tbn files but technically those are the wide icons.

I am using IGL, should there a separate .tbn file for each show? in the Media\Shows folder?

Yes, if there is one, and you are using the right version. I'll be cleaning this all up into a consolidating post for 1.2 now that there is a bit of interest In the imagegrablite.log you should see

Note that if it isn't on thetvtb it gets art without thumbs from tvrage. No thumbs for movies yet either
