yes, both the stock tv guide and TV listings both use the "first run" field in the database which is populated from the epg data; some epg sources just have everything flagged "first run".

for TV Listings, there's a post above saying that the "new" indicator is an element in the skin file for TV listings which can be enabled or disabled.

Waynesm Wrote:Hi,
With both TV Listings and TV Guide both are showing NEW on everything.
Am I missing something?
NPVR has "Highlight New etc" selected and TV Listings has "ShowFirstRunStatusIcon" to true.
Any advice appreciated
If this info isn't supplied by the EPG source, then everything is assumed to be new.

EPG Collector receives DVB-T from NZ Freeview at Waiatarua.
Should that have the right info to achieve only new listings being indicated as New?

I wouldn't know, but if you post your XMLTV file we can give it a look.

Listings from the DVB EPG wouldn't typically have this info available.

You forgot the attachment. You'd need to zip it.

The attachment is there now, but it's pretty much empty. This is all the 215 byte zip file contains:

Quote:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<tv generator-info-name="DomainObjects/4.2.5384.19459" />

as sub expected, your file has no "new episode" data, nor even any data that could be used to infer it. All you get is the channel, start/stop time, title, description, rating and sometimes an episode number.
