I'd checked the permissions on the recording directory. If no file is being created at all, then it sounds like it's unable to create one.
Otherwise, if you have firewall/antivirus software installed, you make need to make firewall exclusions for nrecord.exe, since the DCR-2650 appears as a network device.
smells like a firewall issue to me. as sub said, make exceptions in your firewall for NRecord.exe (and while you're at it, add NextPVR.exe and NDigitalHost.exe, though the latter isn't used for the DCR-2650).

I am also having a black screen issue during liveTV, or very pixelated non-watchable recordings. I tried a few things, to no avail. I attached all my logs just in case. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you. What is odd is I split the signal, and the line that goes strait into the tv gives a great picture, into the tunner, no dice on the HD channels thus far. SD has no issue. Do you think it could be the card?
