Yes this is one of our main modes of operation - exit to epg start recording, watch something else for 20-30 mins then go back to watch in progress recording, skipping ads till catch-up.
I will try it later just to check it hasn't broken recently and get some logs.
It's not an overly complicated system - it's more - overly simple operatives
