Help finding a Gotham beta img with working NEXTPVR Add on.

Can you enable debug logging in XBMC, and reproduce the problem again and repost the logs?

I'm pretty certain that was with debug logging on. From memory I turned it on under Settings -> System -> Debugging. It showed an overlay on the screen with CPU usage etc while I did it.

There were other advanced debugging options down a menu level but these were all turned off by default and I didn't turn any on. Do you want these all turned on as well?


Edit: on line 218 it shows that debug logging is enabled. I remember I turned on debugging, shut off the raspberry pi, messed around with the logs on the npvr server so they started fresh, then turned the raspberry pi back on and did the steps I listed above. Because I have two profiles set up on the raspberry pi maybe it doesn't do debug mode until the profile is loaded (line 71 says it's disabled, but it reenables on 218). At the very end of the log (line 2252) you can see where I disabled debug logging before trying to get the xbmc log uploader to work (it didn't work so I just copied the log manually).

From the look of the logs, it looks like something behaves slightly different with the sockets, causing the NextPVR addon to thing the connection has dropped, so the addon closes the connection.

We'll probably need to find someone that has the capability to compile raspberry pi builds themselves, so we can add some log messages in the LiveShiftSource::Read() method. The types of log messages we'd need are already their, but on a raspberry pi those messages currently go nowhere. We'd need someone to modify the LOG function() to allow us to see the output.

There are 2 of us with the problem now.

Gotham beta2 & npvr 1.9.6 works fine in Window 7. "tuner no longer available" on RPI, OpenELEC and RaspBMC.

Make that three. I'm having exactly the same issue with the same symptoms, using the same version of the ARM NPVR addon (1.9.6) on the Raspberry Pi with Gotham Beta 1. Not sure I can really add anything other than to confirm it's not just guys in Melbourne with the problem.

Hope a fix can be found soon.

It's not something I'm looking at.

Based on what I found here http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post473126 I don't think it is in your control. I expect everyone is seeing that same ffmpeg error.

Now Gotham is at RC I thought I'd dip a toe but I'm experiencing exactly the same problems reported here with 3.95.7.

I'll post a log tomorrow if needed.

That's too bad, there was a change just before rc1 that I was hoping would fix this related to stopping curl from opening a stream 3 or more times which would really confuse live tv buffering.

I was experiencing a similar issue ever since my XBMC was upgraded to version 13. I have a different environment however with my system running on Ubuntu 13.10, XBMC version 13 and NPVR client 1.9.7. I had not been able to get live tv to work since XBMC was upgraded. I read through this thread and thought that i would go gather some logs to post here. Well after downloading the necessary add ons discussed here http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Log_file/Easy i restarted XBMC and tried to reproduce the issue. I was unable to reproduce the issue and live TV appears to be working fine now. At a high level this is all i did:

1. Download XBMC Log Uploader, plus a few others that i thought would be useful, one was XBMC library auto update timer
2. Enable Debugging
3. restart XBMC
4. Play live TV with no issue
5. disable debugging
6. Play live TV with no issue.
