Good idea, Graham.

@Siniestro - are you receiving these channels by means of an antenna, or cable? Those frequencies are not the usual broadcast frequencies for Argentina. I'm surprised that there would be stations in that VHF frequency range (60 MHz), I was of the impression that with digital TV broadcasts, they were in the UHF range (500 Mhz).

@Zeb - interesting.

The Taiwan frequencies end in 250, which is consistent with the OP's frequencies found. So, forget the frequencies ending in 143 that I got from MediaPortal. However, the Taiwan frequencies do not go down to VHF like the OP's 2 channels. Also, the referenced thread says broadcasts are UHF. Also, if the Taiwan frequencies worked in Argentina, then it seems we should ignore the 125 offset.

Maybe the OP should try a PM to the poster of the June thread. It looks like there are a number of discussions in Spanish about the Mygica S870 tuner mentioned in the June thread. The OP should maybe check those.

Nothing :/

Cable

i will check that, thanks! (CHECKED)

EDIT:

nothing useful in that post, not even selecting "taiwan" finds any channel, that guy must be likely from Buenos Aires and i'm from Cordoba and i'm using "Cablevision" as the cable company i don't really know if the frequencies of Buenos Aires are different or the same.

Thank you all!

In NextPVR Settings > Devices, is there one or more device of type DVB-C? That is the type of device you should try scanning all countries/all regions.

[Edit] Looks like your tuner has analog capability. Is Cablevision delivering the channels as PAL? If so, you would have to take additional steps to add analog support to NPVR.

I read the link to mean scan for Country Taiwan All Frequencies instead of Argentina.

We need to determine if you are receiving an analog or digital signal from the cable. Do you have another TV connected such that you could tell whether it is using the analog (PAL) or digital tuner? Does the TV have a cable box? You might be able to tell from the Cablevision web site. I did a quick look but too much Spanish for me to get through. I see you have lots of American cable channels, though. In addition, you might be able to tell from the AverTV software, look for something that says whether you are using the analog or digital tuner. Your tuner is not telling NPVR that it has digital cable tuning capability (no DVB-C tuner shown in Devices).

If it is analog, you will have to install some additional software to allow NPVR to work with it. We can help you with that, but first read the Getting Started post at the top of the Support forum, and look at the wiki for analog support.

Quote:Analog Tuners/Capture Devices:
For ALL analog capture devices, you will need the Hauppauge SoftPVR components from WinTV7. If your Analog capture source does not show up in Devices, then the needed components are missing. See the wiki for additional installation instructions: http://www.gbpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.ph...uppaugeSoftPVR

Some Analog devices will also need an appropriate entry added to the AnalogDevices.xml file; if your analog device won't show up AFTER successfully installing the SoftPVR components, see the wiki article here: http://www.gbpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.ph...AnAnalogDevice. If you need help, post a support request with the FilterCheck log attached.

If you are receiving the signal by cable from a provider (and not just a common antenna from a multiflat building) you need a dvb-c tuner, not a dvb-t.

Reddwarf is correct, if the channels are digital. But since Siniestro can tune the channels using other software, my wager is that the channels are analogue.
