hi there! when i extracted it i see two files (NPVRCCExtractor.ax & Unmanaged.dll) which should i rename npvr? thx

Exit NPVR and stop the NPVR recording service.

Copy these two files to the NPVR program files directory (see the previous post for the likely location). The new unmanaged.dll should replace the existing file of the same name; the same for NPVRCCExtractor.ax. Then you need to register the new CCExtractor as explained in the previous post.

Then, reboot.

Still have the problem of program crashing about every other day. Is it possible to back up to a previous version. No problem until the last version upgrade.

You can probably just install the last installer. It's not something I ever test though, so no guarantees...

When you hit stop about every 4th or 5th time the screen will go black until you click on the screen a couple times and then you get a windows box asking if you want to close the program or troubleshoot it(which doesn't help). It's a pain for me since my computer is in the basement with it remote controlled at my big screen upstairs. I already replaced the CC files which helped a lot. It was every other time. Worked fine until the last upgrade. Here are my log files.

I can't see any obvious reason in there. If you unregister NPVRCCExtractor.ax, does it make any difference.

Tried unregistering NVPRCCExtractor. Tested. Crashed 3 out of 5 times I hit stop on a recording.

If you've got a c:\temp directory, does a c:\temp\crash.mdmp file get created when it crashes?
