B-Murda,
I'm having a similar issue. (It's not just you, man!) I recently purchased an HD HomeRun. I notice also that when I press the ff or arrow right key, the picture freezes. I have my BDA driver mode set to Default (or MediaPortal - can't remember which.) I am Running the LAV Decoders but I think it happens with other decoders as well. I just did some testing. When using the LAV decoders, the problem is obvious. I have the Elecard trial on my computer and the Nvidia PureVideo Decoder trial on my computer. Nvidia seems to work the best. Elecard seems pretty good too. I installed the mainconcept decoders trial but they don't show up as options in NextPVR. I'm having issues when I click register filters. Screenshot and logs attached. There are a bunch of people who offer Mpeg2 decoders. It would be nice to find the "best" at a "reasonable" price. I'd like to try CyberLinks and Corels Mpeg2 decoders but they don't seem to offer trials. Martin, I put <DecoderMPEG2>Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder</DecoderMPEG2> in the config.xml file but it doesn't show up as an option. Thoughts? - Waylon.

Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder won't work unless you have the windows DVD pack installed, do you?
If so once you set that line, in the settings in GUI it will say "disabled" but will function still, unless you change something else which will revert the file to actual "disabled" too in which the change is needed again. Currently I am using the Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder for mpeg2 and it works the best for me, however skip still doesn't. I set my HDHR to Default, and skip 1 minute it works. do another skip to half way to show, and it starts from begining despite saying it's half way over lol. I still need to get the logs too myself. If you don't have the DVD player by MS this codec wont work. The 3 ways to get it are: Having upgraded while running media center to 10. Having purchased it from windows store for $15 Having loaded it manually after a clean install (in which you properly have legal rights to use it from a prior upgrade), which I won't publicly share since it could be used to pirate it also since it doesn't validate. Beyond these 3 methods you can't use Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder on Windows 10 with the xml work around. That said, I'd love to see NextPVR have some sort of auto detect in which if it detects the app is installed the option work properly in the GUI hah. |
