Plugins are displayed in the NextPVR menu (the first screen that you see when NextPVR starts) if they are ticked in NextPVR Settings --> Plugins ... http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...on.Plugins

The software for some plugins is built-in to NextPVR ... examples include TV Guide and Recordings (typically, at the top of the list). Software for other plugins can be copied into the NextPVR "plugin" folder and that software will then be listed in NextPVR Settings --> Plugins ... in the screenshot at ... http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...on.Plugins ... the plugins Movies, Programs, System and Weather are the bottom of the list to the left because software for these plugins has been added to the NextPVR "plugin" folder.

Do you have "TV Guide" ticked in the list at NextPVR Settings --> Plugins ? Do you have any plugins listed in the list at the left below the text "Plugins" ?

If that doesn't work, try renaming your config.xml file to config.backup, and restart NextPVR (and it'll create a new config.xml) to see if it then works. (you'd need to reset your recording directory, media directories, and decoder choices)

Thank you, Sub, I did the change to the config file and that fixed the TV Guide. Now I have the grid and assume channels are ok. Thank you. Now I have a new problem. Never ends. The Live TV screen won't come up now. It says "Unable to find available capture device". So I can't really test the TV Guide since nothing plays. I have a Hauppaugh HVR-955Q Tuner/Capture Device. It is plugged in and seems to be ok, but nothing plays, I scanned the channels in Settings - Devices type ATSC Hauppaugh Cx23100 BDA ATSC Tuner. It scanned and listed most of my channels (didn't pick up channel 4, which is a local channel - not sure what the problem is there). But live TV still says it can't find available capture device. I plugged the Hauppaugh into a different USB port (no change) and shut down and restarted my computer - no change. Is there a setting in Settings I'm missing? The live TV worked until I installed SchedulesDirect. Is that the problem? I just don't know what to try next. Thank you for your patience. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Reproduce this problem then zip and attach the logs and we'll take a look.

I doubt it is anything to do with your switch to Schedules Direct.

Hi,
I went on the main screen and tried to go to Live TV and the same notice came up. I assume this attempt went to the log as I don't know how else to get it there. Anyway, here is the log. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks.

If you go to the Settings->Device screen, do the 'Present' and 'Enabled' columns both say 'Yes'?

That is your problem, NextPVR remembers the last channel that was on LiveTV and it happened to be channel 4. Go into the guide and launch Live TV from there then the Live TV main menu option on the main screen should work.

So I went to channel 4 and clicked on a program and hit 'watch' and the same notice "Unable to find available capture device" still comes up. Went to all three Channel 4 stations and same result. So, that didn't work. So frustrating! By the way, just for the heck of it, I went to 2 programs that recorded last Saturday (not sure how or why they recorded) and pushed play and they came up. So that's pretty crazy. Could it have anything to do with redoing the config file?
(Of course, I'm just guessing - don't really know what I'm talking about.) Please let me know what to try next. Thank you for your help and patience.

Go to the TV Guide ... select a programme that is not on Channel 4 and click Watch ... View the channel that is not Channel 4 for a moment ... go back and back to the NextPVR main menu ... select Live TV and it should display the channel that is not channel 4.

I suggest that you go to NextPVR Settings --> Channels and delete Channel 4 if your are not able to receive that channel.
