sub Wrote:Can you post some logs showing the issue playing this file. Make sure you legacy reader is turned off, so that it's using the current playback components.

I'll try reproducing it here with this file.

Don't know if this is the file you need. Please let me know. Thanks

I've been experimenting with that file, but not really seeing anything weird happening, even though I've done a lot of skipping around. Are you able to consistently reproduce the problem? If so there is some extra lower level logging we could try turning on.

Do you have to do these skips in quick succession, or anything else notable? Are you using keyboard, or clicking on the timeline with a mouse?

I skip back 15sec at a time if comskip overshoots the commercials. I am using a keyboard when it happens. It will happen to any recording if the legacy is turned off. When it is on then it will randomly freeze.
I was wondering if I'm using the wrong video codecs or renderers?
If you want to use Teamviewer to look at the problem I could do that.

They look ok in the logs.

If you temporarily remove the comskip file from the directory, and play it again, do you still have problems skipping around?

I'm not using comskip here.

Yeah

Removed EDL file from LA to Vegas folder and played file with no commercial skips and still when I skip back 2 or 3 times it starts the fast forward to the end thing.
When can we set up for teamviewer access?

raylang, can you see if this updated NPVRTSReader4.ax file fixes the issue where sometimes when skipping back it'd start fast forwarding until the end of the file?

Thanks for the work so far, but this file doesn't fix the issue. I did notice that if I disable all audio decoders the video doesn't do the fast forward on skipping back. Seems to work fine without audio decoders.

Sub, I was playing last night with the ffmpeg audio decoder and found if I turn off the jitter flag the skipping issue is fixed, but the audio and video are out of sync. Don't know if this is something or not. Also have same fast forward issue on my other Windows 10 machine with NextPVR on it.
