what is in logs when it writes ntfs data?
it's done it on multiple drives, and only after a certain time.. so doesn't seem to be related to the ntfs formats of the drives, and all drives have some files w ntfs metadata..
so for some reason it's just decided to quit writing them..
certain there's no setting in config for the ntfs stuff?
i turned off the art n metadata without any luck...they just affect the .xml file..
i sure hope v5 has reliable recording backup n import facilities.. [for individual files, not daily backups]
I just double checked, and the logic is still there, and is working here.
It always tries to store the metadata in the "recording.ts:metadata.xml" ads. If <StoreSeparateMetadataXml> is set to true, then it'll also try to store the separate copy in "recording.xml". These files are written at the end of a recording.
Quote:also, i have autoremovemissingrecordings set to false, and with rec service OFF, just going into nextpvr.exe deleted my recordings!!! [recordings were temp unavailable]
and noremovewhentreemissing set to true...!! why did it remove my recordings?
Hmm, I wouldn't think so - and we've not seen any other reports of this. Have you got the logs from when this happened, so we can see what actually happened?
Quote:oh and it still creates the weird .xml when dl artwork/metadata is off!!!
What is the filename? (ie, StoreSeparateMetadataXml is about NextPVR's recording metadata, and unrelated to artwork metadata)
pBS Wrote:i see those in my logs...but i thiink that's storing it w recording entry in database..
i don't think there's any logging of the ntfs writes.
