Lao Pan. I foolishly commented on another thread that I wasn't seeing the update EPG problem on my system. Ah well.... having been away for the past month and remote accessing the EPG to programme recordings for the wife, I'd seen no problems until I returned home on the 9th May and noticed a couple of channels with "No Show Details".
Since the system hadn't been rebooted for a long time, I thought a restart would be beneficial so did that and then initiated a Manual EPG update. After a couple of minutes, NPVR.exe exited. Not seen that behaviour before.
Restarted NPVR interface and run Manual EPG update again. This time it seemed to complete although in a much shorter time than normal. The missing EPG data was now filled in so all seemed good.....till this morning.
Some channels EPG data missing again.
Ran manual EPG update and NPVR.exe bombed out again after a couple of minutes.
At this point I check the NPVR logs and find no errors at all, just an end to the log at the time of the crash. I also noted ndigitalhost-22's log not showing any trace of my manual EPG update (and that's the tuner always used).
Looking in the windows application logs, I now see for the past few days an error being reported from ndigitalhost at the time of both the scheduled EPG update and the manual ones also the crashes of NPVR.exe
It looks like the error in ndigitalhost during the manual scan takes out NPVR.exe.
I'll see it I can get the windows application event log files and add them to this thread (will have to wait for a certain person to stop watching recordings).
