To help determine if your problem relates to getting data from the device, or transcoding for delivery to the web browser, can you see if you can stream longer from VLC?

http://127.0.0.1:8866/live?channel=12

This uses the native stream, without the transcoding.

The stream also stops for me after a few minutes. I run the server from the console and I gatthered this log when it stopped. The stream is running fine until those "Waiting for more data" starts appearing. Version 5.0.0.190826. user_agent: PVRLive/1.3.8 (BRAVIA 4K GB) but I get the same problem from a shield TV also using PVRLive/1.3.8.

I have been testing this with direct play to ffplay on windows and notice when the slip file switches there is noticeable pixelation and many mpeg 2 error reported in the ffplay error log. Once it settles down no errors are reported until the next switch.

I don't see this on linux which isn't switching at all.

Edit: On Windows I just played on the browser and it died on the switch

2019-08-28 14:33:00.629 [DEBUG][47] reached end of rolling file. Dropping connection...(2) (available=29160 of=50000)
2019-08-28 14:33:01.630 [DEBUG][47] StopStream(101449731)...

Interestingly enough I checked when it started and there was an error which shspvr also gets. I don't get the error on direct play. I did find a post were sub said we can ignore the error though

Code:
2019-08-28 14:26:07.322    [DEBUG][47]    Live TV handle: 0x60C0003

The "Failed to open rolling file" error is what I reported about 2 months ago when live TV stopped after about 7 minutes but no one else could see it. I gave up and found a Kodi app that would give me live IPTV of the particular channel I wanted.

Last week I revisited the problem using the latest V5 but this time using 4 spare tuners which were previously used on my V4 server. All 4 gave faultless SD Live TV picture but three give the rolling fill error at the start of Live TV which stops 7 minutes later. One which was the first tuner I bought in 2011 does not give the error but I think playback stopped with a different error. The tuner that did not give the rolling file error was giving 100% quality as was one of the ones with the error and the two other tuners which failed were showing less than 100% quality. Martin commented about the "Quality" in my original post

I will look at this again tomorrow.

Just a few cents, I have similar issue. I have two DVB-T cards and playing in Kodi or even Web stream stops just like this after few minutes. I didn't report as I was sure someone else would report (lazy me Smile if it's a issue. Anyway I'd like to send logs but where can I find logs? I've search for them but can't find any Smile Streaming directly over Mpc hc with sub's link works fine and it didnt stop so I guess transcoding is issue.
