Network Connect Speed of MVP

With me its not only the onboard LAN, its the combination of the sweex switch and the LAN. If I connect the mediaMVP direct to the onboard LAN (or any other computer in that matter) then its ok. I use the (latest) SIS drivers so also thats not the problem, I did not measure it but I would suspect that its on the OSI 1 layer (the electrocal part) where it go's wrong.

Ok another quick question?

If I assign static IP's on my network and disable the DHCP server on my DSL router. How then will the MVP get an IP address? Or does it have to get one from a DHCP server?

I was just curious how it worked! Kinda learning as I go! The more I understand the more options I have and the more I can mess with it.
