I tried to attach the log file but it wouldn't let me - next time I'll zip it and attach.

I've tried Nextvpr.exe but it seems incomplete - clicking on some of the menu items causes it to drop into debug mode.

The logs can be zipped by clicking the button at ... NextPVR Settings -> About

I agree that the best way to get the result that you want is probably nextpvr.exe ... we can diagnose any problems that you have with that if you describe the problem and post logs.

Kodi will also probably do what you want.
