Yeah, most likely is using something like you said. All I know is the source is update it every day and is using webgrab+ to download the EPG guide.

I have smaller files, like this; https://github.com/epgshare01/share01/bl...ZA1.xml.gz

This link wasn't being interpreted as gzip because of the content-type header being returned by github. I've modified the next build to handle it.

Martin

Just to be sure : is gzip xml file supported by v4 ?

Thanks

Not 100% based on sub's last comment that he made a change in v5.

Yes, but v4 is a pickier about it than v5. v4 needs the server to clearly identify it as gzip. v5 can handle situations where the server is not clearly identifying it as a gzip.

Thanks for your quick reply.

I use a updateEPG.bat script to download the file and put it in NPVR folder as "EPG.xml".

It was working fine until today because the file downloaded is now a gzip one.

I tried to put it as EPG.gz but i can't choose a file other type than xml in settings\channels\XMLTV file

Am i doing something wrong ?

Sorry to be in the v5 forum...

I think v4 only supported gzipped content from a server url, not from a file.

Since you're downloading it in an UpdateEPG.bat, there is nothing to stop you unzipping it in the batch file, so it's just a regular xml file by the time NextPVR sees it.

I can't find this option "from a server url", where is it ?

Yes i could decompress with batch but i don't know how. Maybe with 7-zip..., if i do that, i will have to learn how to do...

Thanks
