Terratec H6 - no channels found

Sorry no, I don't know. It's possible there is some quirk about this specific device that needs special treatment for it to work correctly. (that is the case with some other tuners, but I don't have this specific tuner, so it's not something I've investigated in any detail before)

I would recommend against testing in a VM though - lots of devices have issues running in VM.
