yes to folder
the server is working and able to record, just not sure what version it is. I installed on my laptop and it says 5.xxxxx----spoke too soon. thought i would logout and log back in and says password fail (i have never changed it)

So C:\Users\Public\NPVR-data exists. Are there files in that folder?

win 10...its acting wierd, won't save my setting either ie recording directory

The config file seem to be huge. If you delete config.xml and npvr.db3 and try to start over does that help?

Great. Out of curiosity did you have NTFS compression enabled on the other drive? That has caused problems before.

I don't think so. I just dup a drive every month in case something like this happens. I installed a camera recording server last week which i did not like. It installed so many ms stuff that did not uninstall when i tried to. so I think one server installed screwed with the nextpvr server setup.
