1.
Just to clarify - none of the channels work.

2.
Going back to your comment:

I don't recognize this message but it seems to be the cause.

2021-06-03 15:16:00.266 [DEBUG][15] StreamNative@10 (with close monitoring...)
2021-06-03 15:16:00.267 [DEBUG][15] target file does not exist (nothing to stream): C:\Users\Public\Videos\live-KTVU-HD-13940-1.ts

You are right - this file (live-KTVU-HD-13940-1.ts) doesn't exist.
No ".ts" file ever gets created.
The question - how to fix it?

Reboot, try again, then post a new set of logs. (the previously logs don't cleanly show the attempt to use the tuner)

So when you attempt this, you're not seeing a .ts file getting created in C:\Users\Public\Videos\? Usually this happens immediately, and isn't dependent on other stuff like tuner receiving data etc, so I'm guessing it's something like security on the directory, or antivirus/antimalware software blocking it.

Maybe create a c:\temp directory, and set your live tv buffer directory to that, then try again.

Thanks you very much.

I was experiencing the Streaming Failed - transcoder exited error message.  For reasons unknown, I stopped receiving this error.
  • NOW I'm unable to play live TV for more than a few minutes - 3 to 4 minutes (3:58 to be precise).  When the play back stops and, if I resume playing the same live channel feed, the play back just loops the same few minutes of video over-and-over.  I did change my live TV buffer to C:\Temp as suggested in the post above...unfortunately, that did not help.

I'm on a PC with a clean new installation of Windows10.  The only applications loaded are MS Edge, Firefox, NextPVR (Version: 5.1.3.210711), LAV and 7-Zip.  I have shared all pertinent NextPVR folders and granted them full access to "Everyone" - INCLUDING my C:\EPG\guide.xml; where my EPG is saved.
  • I can't get the EPG to populate the TV Guide.  I also cannot get the Auto Map feature to populate the channels with the EPG.  The only way I can get EPG data in the TV Guide is to manually add the EGP info via the spanner in the Channels settings.  I can see the EPG being retrieved, and updated, in the "About" screen but nothing changes in the TV Guide.  OH, the Channels that I add the EPG to, via the spanner, still exhibit the same playback characteristics as described above.

Your help in resolving these two issue: 1) No consistent Live TV playback; and 2) EPG does not populate TV Guide...would be greatly appreciated!  I have uninstalled and reinstalled NextPVR several times and also rebooted my PC multiple times.  None of this fixes the two issues.

Log files attached....Thank you for your help!

You shouldn't be using automap, it doesn't work well with IPTV. Instead add the m3u and xmltv url when you create the device.

Sub will need to help with the m3u8 download your provider streams seems to be very bursty.

Do recordings work, or do they stop early too?

Ok, I'll stop using automap...

I'm not sure I completely follow your comment: "add the m3u and xmltv url when you create the device".  Do you mean when I first configure the Web App that I should insert both the m3u and xmltv url?  If so, that is what I've done after a few trial and error device setups...

My IPTV service returns the EGP guide from http://guidexl* in a ZIP (*.gz) format.  If I insert the URL into the device setup EPG field, then nothing at all happens.  So, I wrote a small batch file that downloads the EGP file, unzips it and saves the unzipped guide.xml in the C:\EPG directory.  My IPTV service's channels list URL returns a livetv.m3u NOT A ZIP FILE.

NextPVR can read the livetv.m3u file no problem.  NextPVR does not update the EPG.  Any ideas why this is occurring?  I've attached a screen shot of the TV guide...
