The logs don't show any errors. If you open your browser to http://localhost:8866/index.html do you see anything? If you press Ctrl-F5 to reload the page, does it help?

 Yes   ok.. this makes me feel a bit better, the other link I was using didn't do anything (now I don't know why, maybe it was using the wrong port?).

everything is set up, channels are set up.  just nothing happens when I try to launch the NPVRtray

NPVRtray doesn't really do much. It just changes color when a tuner is active. Windows will usually hide it, and it's only visible when you click the small up arrow icon in the system tray. I'm guessing it is running, but you're just not seeing it there.

I'm sorry maybe I didn't understand version 5 ... all the pictures I see show a screen much like version 4.. we don't get a screen anymore?

I don't seem to be able to watch any of my recorded shows, no option to view them, I'll try to record something and see if I can watch recorded programs. almost none of my channels are working for some reason (they worked fine under 4), I'll mess with it to see if I can get them to work.

You can run nextpvr.exe to get the normal user interface you got with v4. From memory, the installer creates a shortcut for it. Otherwise you can manually run it in C:\Program Files\NextPVR\Client\nextpvr.exe

The tray app (NPVRTray.exe) is just a small icon that gives an indication when a recording is happening.

Just when I think things are working, they aren't.

things aren't working.
General - yes...
Devices - nope.. nothing happens
Channels - nope nothing happens
transcoder - yes, does work
Access - yes does work
guide does work.
logout does work

The main page
http://localhost:8866/index.html
doesn't seem to be working either.. i.e. no information is available.

I know these worked the other day, I was able to set up channels.. though a bunch (if not most of them) didn't work for some reason..

Anything to help with this?

please keep in mind.. 4. was working.. just was very slow.. before I removed it and install 5.

Try doing a Ctrl-F5 on the pages that you say aren't working. Sometimes after a version upgrade, browsers have an old version cached and need to be forced to load the new version for the page to display properly.

Sorry it took a day to reply.  

This actually worked for some reason I had to refresh the browser .. I didn't think about that.  

I think things are going ok now.  I had a LOT of trouble with the channels, and I'm having an issue with updating the guide... I'll work on that..  but I can now watch TV again on my computer.

Dang.. I just can't get this to work..  every time I think its working.. it fails.

I'm being honest.. I'm ready to give up, this just seems like its just not going to work.  what is strange.. I have been watching TV for 10 + years.. with different cards..  never have I had so many issues.

I thought everything was working, I open nextpvr, select the channel, and nothing works.  restart.. same thing.  This was working (or so I thought) yesterday, but today it just won't work.
