can you give me one or more timestamps (mm : ss) when it gets into this jump back loop within VLC.

Yes there are some missing packets in your providers encoding so it isn't a perfect recording but IPTV and OTA rarely are. I tried with NextPVR.exe and uidroid and had no issues and like gEd would need a time reference.
Maybe check LAV settings to see what they are for h264. Also is your screen set to 1080p? Martin

Thank you both again for your time. It occurs at 06:30 onward LAV Settings attached. 1080p is set

I know in Kodi some users have trouble with DXVA2 can you try another option there?

Hi Martin,
Would you be able to give a recommendation? Options are: D3D11 NVIDIA CUVID (old) Intel QuickSync (old)

I do see that the timestamps are all over the place in VLC. It thinks the video is > 3hrs long. During playback, at 6m34sec, the duration counter sets itself back to zero.

Hi gEd,
I noticed that too. It thinks the video is 3hrs and the counter resets

Do you have 5 minutes of pre-padding? I see a second show starting then and that is when uidroid had a little glitch
08-24 20:55:26.550 3109 3109 D EventLogger: playWhenReady [eventTime=47.81, mediaPos=345.49, window=0, period=0, false, USER_REQUEST] 08-24 20:55:26.551 3109 3109 D EventLogger: isPlaying [eventTime=47.81, mediaPos=345.49, window=0, period=0, false] 08-24 20:55:27.512 3109 3109 D EventLogger: playWhenReady [eventTime=48.77, mediaPos=345.50, window=0, period=0, true, USER_REQUEST] 08-24 20:55:27.513 3109 3109 D EventLogger: isPlaying [eventTime=48.77, mediaPos=345.50, window=0, period=0, true] 08-24 20:55:29.384 3109 3109 D EventLogger: loading [eventTime=50.64, mediaPos=347.44, window=0, period=0, false] plus at 3:18 there is an audio glitch. I wonder if your provider is stitching "programs" together? Martin

Hi Team,
I appreciate all of your help. It will take a few more days of testing but I changed the Hardware decoder to D3D11 as per Martin's suggestion. I ran NPVR for about an hour with no issues last night. Martin, I do have pre and post-padding. I believe pre is 3 minutes and post is 5 minutes. I will run more tests and report back so I can update you on if this is solved. |
