Very nice! This has great potential as a good way to integrate web browsing into GBPVR.

In the meantime, has anybody tried simplebrowser?

If you set it to run as an external task you can put it on the main menu, it's basically an alternate front-end to Internet Explorer. The interface is a little kooky but overall it's nice.

I mean I have NO keyboard input at all. Not one of my 112 keys does anything.
Because I use the keyboard for most stuff, finding the remote, and hoping the batteries aren't dead, is a chore Wink
My PVR is more of a multitasking box. I do all my surfing, email, encoding, editing, and burning on it, as well as timeshifting, so the remote is useless for most of this stuff.

reboot, you should have the ability to at least pull up the popup box. Ctrl B make sure that there are no stuck control keys. I can create a special version with logs to figure out what is going wrong.

tipstir,
I will play with skinning in the next few days. Right now I was just seeing what people thought.

reboot,

if you are stuck on the popup page. Rename a jpg to c:\web.png and then go into the app again. See if you have any more luck.

My KB didn't work, either, until I realised I had put the iecapt.exe prog in the devnz dir instead of gbpvr. Just a thought.

hi, i only see the error side from the IE

the first time i start the webbrowser i can choose a side, then appear the error side and thince this time i didn´t see the startscreen.

i have a router and a firewall- maybe is this the point ?

in the firewall are the applications from gb-pvr "allowed" to send and receive.

by the way: most times the weather plugin doesn´t work. sometimes it does.

i use the hauppauge media mvp

sorry for my bad english- my speaking is better than my writing Wink

greetings from germany

Attached is v0.1

It has been restructured. Has more skinning. Let us at least start with this release and see if it fixes reboots keyboard problem.

Phase 1 of custom form input. This will eventually allow a user to fill out a form on screen lets says maps.google.com you enter the address and it will create the url and send you there.

Tipstir. I have not had time to test this on the mvp yet.
However the fast forward and rewing should work. As well as skip forward and skip back. Let me know if this is not working for you.

Lindsay,
Thank you. Glad you enjoy it.

reboot,
I want to make sure you are not having the keyboard problems. Please try this release and let me know.

ibuki,
There is an app that the plugin runs, called iecapt.exe. The plugin itself does not go out to the web just the exe does. Please check your cdrive for a file called c:\web.png

That will tell us if that app is getting stuck on your machine.
