Jeff, I'll try feature 2 tonight or so.

For feature 1, I've added a sample playlist:
Code:
#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:322,Kansas - Carry On Wayard Son
01 - Carry On Wayard Son.mp3
#EXTINF:601,Kansas - Song For America
02 - Song For America.mp3
#EXTINF:288,Kansas - The Wall
03 - The Wall.mp3
#EXTINF:342,Kansas - Lonely Street
04 - Lonely Street.mp3
#EXTINF:477,Kansas - Journey From Mariabronn
05 - Journey From Mariabronn.mp3
#EXTINF:271,Kansas - Child Of Innocence
06 - Child Of Innocence.mp3
#EXTINF:252,Kansas - Mysteries And Mayhem
07 - Mysteries And Mayhem.mp3
#EXTINF:575,Kansas - The Pinnacle
08 - The Pinnacle.mp3
#EXTINF:214,Kansas - Bringing It Back
09 - Bringing It Back.mp3
#EXTINF:224,Kansas - Down The Road
10 - Down The Road.mp3
#EXTINF:205,Kansas - What's On My Mind
11 - What's On My Mind.mp3
#EXTINF:473,Kansas - Death Of Mother Nature Suite
12 - Death Of Mother Nature Suite.mp3

Looking forward to feature 3. As for 4, it would be *very* nice. Maybe an option in the configuration?

Just so I understand on the default.jpg, are you saying that for some albums there is a file in the folder called default.jpg instead of folder.jpg?

I too was psyched to see this player since it handles the artist/album/song layout much better than the others that have been provided! So I'm anxious to get it working.

I'm seeing the same issues. When I go into music player, it first looks like things are there, but then when I sit and watch, my music slowly starts vanishing. After looking at the logs, I'm seeing the same thing for all my music folders. Here is one snip of it. Any ideas?? Thanks!!

There is an update posted here . It looks like you have an early version in which I forgot to the include the wrapper to the Windows shell function that extracts information from audio files. Also, the update adds all of the things MaBo requested except 4 and 5.

Same thing with the new one...any thoughts? Looks like the folder structure works, but then when it goes to fill in the songs, it runs into the errors. thanks!

Can you email me the full music player log and the gbpvr.exe.log. jefflmailbox-gbpvr@yahoo.com. I have a version with more debugging info in it that I can email you. Hopefully that wil lhelp track it down. Also, could you, from windows, right click on the mp3 file listed in the log above and select "Properties" from the poup menr. Then go to the summart tab can click on "Advanced>>" on the lower right and let me know what it says for the various fields. Maybe there is some information missing the MP3 info that I am not handling properly.

Thanks

Jeff,

how does the jukebox mode work ?

If I have an empty playlist and select jukebox it seems to select about 10 - 12 tracks [i haven't counted them]
which it plays quite happily until the the last track at which point it stops.

is this the correct behaviour and do I have to press Ctrl + G again to select more tracks ?

It should select 10 tracks and, when it reaches the last of the 10 tracks it should select 10 more and so on forever, or until you press stop. You can send me your musicplayer-PC.log and/or musicplayer-mvp.log plus gbpvr.exe.log and I can takke a look if you'd like.

Jeff,
Just to let you know it works great for me. Thanks for adding my requests!

I have one more, though don't know how it can be achieved. I have several directories with many songs in it. Scrolling through the list takes quite some time. I found out that if I add the entire directory, I can use page up and down in the jukebox window. But it would be nice to select songs in a similar way. Maybe a mechanism as implemented in the jukebox plugin? Where I can use the telephone-style number keys to filter songs.

Maybe it is a good idea anyway to merge this GREAT plugin with the jukebox, also a GREAT plugin?
