[Sub] here is the deal. I am able to control my DirecTV box via the command line. But only when I have the DirecTV Control window open/runing. If close the app I get the error "Unable to find the DirecTV Serial Control Utility Window."

oh and by the way those two liitle apps for command line are totally different fromt he actually DirecTV application.

To be quite honest, this isnt a GB-PVR problem so you'll probably need to nut it out yourself, or ask the people that developed that utility.

If you find a command line program that does what you want, then GB-PVR can be configured run it every time you need to change channels.

In theory, the command line utility should be usable as-is from the GB-PVR, but you'd need to be logged in, with the DirecTV Serial Control Utility running.

This is unrelated to the MVP remote. If you have configured your capture source to use the .exe channel changer, then that executable will be run just prior to the MVP or PC trying to view that channel.

It depends on what the utility expects. There should be a readme.txt or similar usage notes document included with it I guess...

Right and I checked and there isn't any readme.txt file. And I am not able to find anything related to “Parameters."

I'll keep trying because I need something to take my mind on the other major shizz I got going on right now.

Never mind I went an entirely different route. I am now able to control my DirecTV receiver with my MVP.

My Current PVR System:
DirecTV Receiver D10
Hauppauge 150 MCE
Hauppauge MVP
SageTV - DirecTV Serial Control Plugin (15 Day Trial)
MVP Client for SageTV Link

The hauppage capture cards come with an infra-red transmitter cable, if you have one you might not have noticed it or needed it at the time.
