Sounds like the numbers that appear to center the yellow box in the plugin then are throwing me off. I'm not at home to verify, but I have it down in my Palm as:
604
452
44
62

NTSC

I do know that after I noticed the 'masking' I returned the global to the default settings and that removed it. Now I just need to still shrink the image enough to get the top to display.

452 + 62 adds up to more than 480, so thats not going work.

Start with a smaller sized image by adjusting MVPHeight to something like 200, so you can align it with the top of your TV using MVPOffsetY. When you're happy with the top of the picture start adjusting MVPHeight until it fills the vertical height of your tv.

What do MVPoffsetX and MVPoffsetY mean in relation to the width and height numbers? Also how do you use the myscreenposition pluggin? Should I be using it to find the offset numbers after I set the screen size I want? so enter 640x480 then play with the offset X and Y? I hate to sound stupid but im baffled by how this all works.

ok...I also messed something up when I started playing with the mvp screen size. I was changing the settings in the config file manually and something I did made the letters have a white shadow. This doesnt show during boot until the "contacting servers" screen appears and the boxes at the bottom are blurred. From then on the letters of the menu and whatnot are blurry too.

MVPoffsetX is how far from the left of the screen before the image starts. MVPoffsetY is how far from the top.

You cant use odd numbers, which may be your reason for seeing this.

LOL, I fixed it....by using the same numbers listed in the screenshot for this pluggin in Wiki. I was thinking this setting had some advanced mathmatical equation to make it work. Still have the white shadows though? If you would look at it and see if anything obvious is wrong Id be grateful Smile

The only reason I can think of, is you're using odd numbers. If thats not the case, then I dont know what the cause is.

after playing with the mvpscreenpostion pluggin I finnally figured out why I was getting nowhere. Figured Id post it cause it may help someone later. The problem was the aspect ratio. I had been trying 1.33 which is normal tv but what worked for me ended up being 1.43 as shown in the screenshot. Since the values shown in mvpscreenpos screen are shown through the current aspect ratio I couldnt get it to fill up the tv nicely no matter how many times I tried. 1.33 shown in the pluggin on a current 1.33 screen will never get you 1.43. Dunno how to determine your screens true aspect ratio though.
