Yes, I have just noticed the Hauppauge SS cutting in, too. Thanks for the fix next release, Sub.

Did this change make it into the new version 94.8? I'm guessing not cause the damn MVP screensaver is still comming up every chance it gets.

OR

do i add that line into the config xml file now?

To disable the Hauppauge screensaver (even with 0.93)
go to C:\Program Files\Hauppauge MediaMVP\Users\Default\Temp and edit ConfigurationSet.xml

the screensaver section should say
Code:
    <set name="Screen Saver" id="SCREENSAVER" selected="0">

Logo

Blank

Off

    </set>

Then do the same thing to C:\Program Files\Hauppauge MediaMVP\Users\Whatever your MVP MAC address is\Temp\ConfigurationSet.xml

Then power down your MVP (unplug it completely, not just with the remote) and plug it back in. It should boot a new config file which should have the screensaver disabled.

I had found those settings in another thread somewhere and tried them before with no luck. But on the chance i missed something i tried again. The files were still as posted above. I stopped the GBpvr service fired up the MVP services and let it re download the application. Still no luck getting it to stop. 60 seconds goes by and i'm watching that Hauppauge logo bouncing around again. Sad

But thanks for the suggestion anyway. I'll keep plugging away maybe i'll luck out one of these times.

Try to boot the Hauppauge interface... Do you get the screensaver as well with the Hauppauge one? When you go into the config tab, is the screensaver activated?

No, when booted into the Hauppauge interface the screensaver is listed as off, and that works correctly. Off means off and i never see it. Going back to GBpvr is where i run into the problem, no matter what i do the SS comes up in 60seconds. I even tried leaving it on but only coming up every 15 minutes, still no joy in GBpvr 60seconds and it's back.

:-(

Yes, just use notepad.exe to add the following line
<
DisableHauppaugeMVPScreenSaver>true</DisableHauppaugeMVPScreenSaver>

This setting only applies to the new verion 0.94.8, which was released about 12 hours ago. Your wording sounds like you have an older version of GB-PVR.

Thank you very much, it worked like a charm and the MVP screensaver is no longer popping up every 60 seconds. Smile
