No there isnt. I think all other countries, New Zealand included, scrape their listings off websites. The only possible exception I think is the UK radio times provides an xml feed, though I could be wrong on that one? So effectively US/Canada is now in the same boat as the rest of us.

In the UK the Radio Times (a listing magazine) provides a normal web listing but surprisingly allows access to it's raw data. Alan Birtles xmltvgui grabs the data, tweakes it and outputs it in a suitable format.

Fingers crossed that RT doesn't get swamped and drop the service.

http://www.radiotimes.com (for normal listings) or an example of data
http://xmltv.radiotimes.com/xmltv/92.dat

Other than that it will be using the DVB-T data for terrestrial digital and who knows for digital satellite who use a proprietary EPG

"Howdy all.. for those who don't remember me, I used to be very active on the AVS Replay forums... I also helped a little (very little) on the JP1 hacking stuff.

While not not really active on the Replay forums any more, I still use my 2 Replays (3k series) and work on the XMLTV guide project.

As you can imagine the Z2L shutdown effects lots of different projects. A number of us are working on finding a replacement and are making good progress. At this point I'd say the odds are better than 50/50 there will be life after Z2L without a scraper.

Since you already support XMLTV formatted data, and there will definitely be a XMLTV client for the new method, you guys just need to sit tight. Feel free to have someone subscribe to the XMLTV developer list for the latest news. Once a solution is worked out, it will be posted to the announce list.

Here in Canada we might have it worse. TitanTV for example doesn't work with our postal codes, and Rogers my cable provider is in bed with yahoo.ca and since they make money from people renting or buying their PVR's they would have a financial interest in going the Times Warner route and preventing access or at least obfuscating and changing things so that XMLTV doesn't work.

I'm sure someone will come up with data for Canada, whether its from yahoo or somewhere else.

TitanTV is sounding like the best option for the US guys, but its hard to know if they will try to close it down though. They may not be able to do so without breaking the apps that are legitimately allowed the data.

About US$12000 per month. I'm not interested in becoming a commercial listing provider though. From now on US/Canada users will have to use XMLTV files in GB-PVR for their listings.

Well I said I'll be baaack but I had no luck exporting the ctpvr database to xml. I also tried to manipulate their downloader parser with no luck.

It seems Titan TV is the direction this is heading. Has anyone had any real success with it yet?
