CV,

While LiveTV is now working fine, scheduled recordings cannot find the DirectShowLib. Logs attached.

To be honest I am not greatly familiar with how the search path for dll's is set by GBPVR. According to the log it is looking in: C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\plugins\Weather and plugin\common both which seem odd as the directories it should search are plugins\graphRecorder and plugins (note the bold s) \common not plugin\common. From these paths you might try to drop the dll in the weather plugin directory. Not an elegant solution but it may work. When I get home I will look and see which directories I have the .dll placed.

Code:
2009-01-27 20:30:00.046    VERBOSE    [5]    Looking for missing assembly in C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\plugins\Weather: DirectShowLib, Version=1.5.0.29121, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=67e7b740cdfc2d3f
2009-01-27 20:30:00.046    VERBOSE    [5]    Looking for missing assembly in plugin\common: DirectShowLib, Version=1.5.0.29121, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=67e7b740cdfc2d3f

I put the directshowlib dll in the weather folder and recordings now work. I than created a .\plugin\common folder and moved the dll into it. Same again, it works fine. Are the search paths in a config file or in the gbpvr database? Would just like to know if I installed a plugin that may have messed it up.

Once again, thanks for your help!

This new dll fixed my previously report preview problems. I can now go in and out of the guide to watch multiple shows. I haven't tried to set up time shifting, but live preview now works perfectly.

Thanks.

CV,

I have posted this question in the 'support' forum in the past without success. Hoping that maybe you can help

It seems that the WDM drivers are not initialized when I first start PVRX2 as neither preview nor record work. However, if I use Aver MediaCenter first, it came with my card, then PVRX2 also works fine. I have also tried SoftwareRecorder, which also works fine, but the picture is not as clear as with GraphRecorder.

Can I somehow tell GBPVR/GraphRecoder to intialize, or is there any other way without having to use another PVR first? I have attached logs but don't think they will tell you much.

Thanks

Does it work with graphEdt? All graphRecorder does is load a graph and run it there is no other initialize. If you know there is an initialitize statement and can do it command line I would add the command in the channel record or in the external record tab of graphRecroder

CV,

Same problem in GraphEdit. Aver MediaCenter must run before the card can be used by any other app. I have tried to trace AverMedia in Autoruns, System Explorer and Process Manager, but so much information that I can't determine where the initialize occurs. Is there a standard command that I can use to accomplish this?
