And they break it the same day. Rolleyes

i'll download the latest & give it a go.

Yeah, I was ticked when I couldn't get on the other day to catch up on my Farscape Smile

Let me know uif you run into trouble. I ran a database update last night and it took 8 hours to run. So I will probably have a new release coming out soon to speed it up, but it was at least working.

Hi DJ,

You might want to hold off until I complete my latest release (in a couple of hours). I think I found the problem with the 14523 errors (I started getting them on my computer with the latest release) and I added automatic logging of the problems. So if the problem occurs again it will at least generate logs.

I've been running an old version (1.5.? or so) using queue only and decided to try the new version today. I unzipped to a separate directory and copied the queue only files over the full version in the same directory. On initial startup it seemed to stall downloading the queue; alt-F4 killed the download and then the queue was there. Tried playing and got the exception attached on a keypress (don't remember which key unfortunately). Choosing CONTINUE in the exception dialog box allows the video to play. Subsequent SKIP keys (ctrl ->) throw an exception as well - didn't read the details to see if it is the same.

Hope you can sort this out. Let me know if you need more specific info - I'll pay more attention next time.

The speed of the new version is great. Thanks.

Hey Mike,

Just an FYI you'll get notified of new releases when you open the program now.

Thanks for the report. I think I found the problem and will fix in the next release. Please try this and let me know if you still have the problem. If not we'll be good to go:

Basically you'll run into this problem any time you start with a fresh database in queue only. The next time you open the program it should work correctly. If you open the program and can recreate the issue let me know, otherwise I think it is fixed in the upcoming version 2.2.1.0.

OK, got notified of the new release, pretty cool. Gave it a try (again using queue only) and the queue downloaded quickly, but the exception still occurs. It comes up as soon as the movie starts, the actual program, not the Netflix downloading screens etc. It also comes up when the alt key is pressed, like in alt-F4. The first exception is attached; I didn't check to see if the same one comes up with the alt keypress.

Hope this helps.

Also, the previously reported exception still occurred in 2.2.0.0, it didn't go away after the first run.

Hi Mike,

I couldn't replicate the problem, so I have a couple of questions:

Did you replace the movieinfo.ntf file when you upgraded?
Do you have .Net 3.5 installed, with all of the service packs?

I'll look more into this when i get home.

The new version is in a separate folder from the old. I didn't do anything about the movie.ntf file with either version, just copied the queue only files over whatever was in the folder. Might it be looking at the old version through a registry entry? If so, I'll get rid of the old version.

I think I have .net3.5 as I believe that was required for the "earlier" version I have installed. I'll check and get back to you later.

Can you send me your ntf file through rapid share? I think I have figured out the problem, but I would like to double check using your database file.

The movie info files are only 56K zipped, so they are attached.

Also, I have .Net 3.5.30729.

The previous version of Netflix viewer that I'm running is 1.5.0.39063.
