Hi all. First post - just found this forum after googling "freecom dvb-t usb" !! My stick has been in a drawer for about a year. Got it working on a desktop a year ago (using supplied CD) - but now a new Asus EEEpc has got me wanting to try again! But Iwas thinking of not using the supplied drivers/software but going down the gbpvr route! Read through this thread - am impressed with the contents and contributors! First step- the Yakumo drivers I thought!! But all the links seem to lead to a homepage which asks for login via email and password?? (Sorry if im being stupid here - but what password?? Cant I just find the drivers on a download page?!) Thanks & regards!
If you have installed the Freecom WDM drivers, then uninstall is difficult - made more so since Freecom have removed the utility from the driver zip package. So far I have totally failed to get the drivers to Richthebeard as his email provider refuses to accept zip files its software considers dodgy - and that includes any that contain .exe files.
You can download the latest Freecom BDA drivers from their web site.
Thanks for the drivers ArtificialIntel2. Sadly exactly the same thing happened (installed first round of drivers OK, could not find second set even when pointed to the folder containing the newe drivers). However it has eliminated the driver version as the source of my problem...

Did you run the uninstall program in the drivers zip file? If not, then it still expects the wdm drivers. If this is the problem or the uninstall program didn't delete them properly, the only thing to do is to search for the usb file somewhere in Windows directory that contains details of the original drivers.
Yes I ran the program. I have also previously tried it using the method mentioned earlier in this thread... And with a clean install... I will try locating the second set of drivers elsewhere (are the drivers for the second stage copied to somewhere in the windows directory during the first stage?)
It's so long ago that I installed it that all I remember was what a pain uninstalling the wdm drivers are. I guess that you've tried with a freshly installed copy of Windows?
What I remember is that, until all traces are removed, the usb install thinks that you need to install completely differently named drivers to the ones in the bda file. I'll send you the uninstall utility from the wdm drivers as I think that's what did the trick for me now I think about it.
Hi I just installed the newest 00008584.zip version of the freecom dvb-t Drivers from the website onto my XP machine.
The device manager found the device twice and I pointed it at the drivers and it seemed happy.
I checked the bda.ini - freecom type 2 and the installed *.inf (it was the 220 version from the drivers) and both capture device and tv receiver seemed correct.
So the configuration program happily found the Device.
Now when I run the 'scanning' portion of the GBPVR setup screen I always get the MS .net framework error -

Wow these drivers are annoying... Any suggestions much appreciated
I've read to the entire thread but I'm afraid I didn't understand a thing.
Is it possible that someone writes a complete tutorial?
I downloaded GBPVR and installed it already.
I downloaded the BDA-drivers from Freecom but when I insert my stick and I try to install those drivers it won't work.
My DVB-T stick is from feb 2007.
So if anyone could help, that would be great.
Thx!
